Juliet Cuthbert Flynn, MP for St Andrew West Rural, presented the nomination for Holness, which was seconded by Dwayne Smith, the JLP’s new candidate for St Andrew North Western. Smith steps into the role in anticipation of Dr. Nigel Clarke’s departure from the seat.
Alongside Holness, Desmond McKenzie, MP for Kingston Western, was also re-elected without opposition as Deputy Leader, solidifying his ongoing role within the party leadership. The event, attended by local party members and supporters, marks another year of stable leadership within the JLP as it looks to the future.
