In a stellar performance on Tuesday, St Catherine High secured their place in the second round of the ISSA Digicel Manning Cup with a commanding 3-0 victory against Papine High.

The match saw striker Dwight Gentles take center stage, scoring twice in the second half to seal the win, while Rajae Taylor contributed with a goal in the first half. This decisive victory brings St Catherine High’s points tally to 16 in Zone E, putting them just three points behind the current leaders, St George’s College, who triumphed over Norman Manley with a score of 3-1.

As the group stage approaches its conclusion, the crucial matchup between St Catherine and St George’s College will take place on Friday, October 18, where the top spot in the group will be at stake.

Unfortunately for Papine High, the defeat means they are set to end their campaign at the bottom of the group, having managed only one win out of their seven fixtures.
