The Jamaica Urban Transit Company (JUTC) is expanding its transportation network with the introduction of two new bus routes aimed at improving connectivity for commuters in Clarendon, St Mary, and St Andrew.

These new services will streamline travel for residents in key areas, ensuring better access to urban centers while maintaining affordability and reliability in public transportation.

New Routes to Serve Underserved Communities

JUTC has identified critical transit gaps and is addressing them by launching:

  • Route #504, which links Chapelton to May Pen, providing essential service to residents in Turners and New Longville.
  • Route 52B, which connects Castleton Gardens to Half-Way Tree, catering to commuters passing through Toms River, Temple Hall, and Golden Spring.

Affordable and Convenient Travel

JUTC continues to prioritize affordability while encouraging passengers to use the SmartFare card system for seamless transactions. The fare structure ensures accessibility for all categories of commuters, including students, seniors, and persons with disabilities.

    • Seniors: $50 (SmartFare Card), $150 (Cash)

Passengers are encouraged to stay updated on schedules and new route announcements via JUTC’s official communication channels.
