Isaiah Laing, renowned for his leadership of Supreme Promotions and his philanthropic Supreme Foundation, brightened the lives of students at Marlie Hill Primary and Infant School this week. Over 70 students from the rural St Catherine school received more than 100 backpacks filled with essentials, alongside a day of festive treats.
Laing, a proud alumnus of Marlie Hill Primary, shared the significance of this annual initiative:
“This school is close to my heart. It’s not just my alma mater but also the primary school of the Honourable Portia Simpson Miller. Giving back here is my way of encouraging the next generation of children from this community.”
The day’s activities were more than just about gifts. Students enjoyed ice cream and other goodies, fostering a joyful atmosphere. Principal O’Niel Gayle expressed his gratitude, emphasizing the impact of Laing’s consistent generosity:
“This gesture reduces the financial strain for parents and shows our students that they are supported and valued. Mr. Laing’s efforts help us create lasting memories and inspire our young learners.”
This isn’t Laing’s first act of kindness toward the school. In previous years, his foundation has organized larger events, such as a grand treat in Spanish Town where students enjoyed rides, meals, and transportation — all free of charge.
The Supreme Foundation’s continued support resonates deeply with the 74 students and seven dedicated teachers of Marlie Hill Primary. Principal Gayle added,
“Isaiah Laing’s dedication to this school is rare and heartfelt. His contributions remind us all of the power of community and the importance of giving back.”
As Laing’s foundation plans its future endeavors, the students of Marlie Hill Primary will undoubtedly remember this act of kindness as a source of inspiration and hope for their own futures.
