Beneficiaries of the Government’s Reverse Income Tax Credit (RITC) program are advised to expect temporary delays in receiving the promised $20,000 one-time payment.
Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) has confirmed that a technical issue with the disbursement process is being addressed in collaboration with the Accountant General’s Department (AGD). Affected individuals are being notified directly, and TAJ has assured the public that the issue is expected to be resolved within three business days.
Applicants experiencing delays can contact the TAJ support team via the hotline at (888) TAX-BACK (829-2225) or email TaxBack@taj.gov.jm for assistance and updates.
Extended Deadline for Applications
Eligible individuals who have not yet applied for the RITC are reminded that the application deadline has been extended to Friday, December 13. Applications can be completed online through the official TAJ portal at www.jamaicatax.gov.jm.
What to Expect After Applying
Once an application is confirmed, the disbursement process typically takes at least four weeks.
