KINGSTON, Jamaica — In a move signaling deeper consolidation within Jamaica’s beverage and spirits sector, Wisynco Group Limited has acquired a 30% minority interest in Ringtail Holdings Limited, the parent of Select Brands Limited. This equity acquisition comes alongside Wisynco’s full takeover of Ringtail Bottlers Limited’s operational assets, including the production rights to the storied Stone’s Ginger Wine and an accompanying brand portfolio.
As part of the agreement, Wisynco will now oversee manufacturing for Stone’s Ginger Wine, Irie Moss, Prestige Liqueurs, Bandolero, and Privateer—across Jamaica, the wider Caribbean, and the U.S. Meanwhile, Select Brands will retain exclusive rights to market and distribute the brands locally.
The dual-track arrangement marries Wisynco’s national production scale and logistics infrastructure with Select Brands’ unmatched grip on the premium alcoholic beverage market. For Wisynco, this move enhances its beverage dominance during its 60th anniversary year, while Select Brands gains a manufacturing partner capable of executing at global scale without diluting the brand identities it has spent years cultivating.
“This is more than just a co-packing deal,” said Andrew Mahfood, CEO of Wisynco. “We’re embedding ourselves deeper into value-added production. Stone’s Ginger Wine isn’t just a SKU—it’s cultural heritage. And through this partnership, we’re preserving that legacy while ensuring its relevance across multiple geographies.”
David McConnell, Co-Managing Director at Select Brands, emphasized the synergy: “Wisynco brings production and logistical might. We bring brand stewardship and consumer trust. Together, we’re shaping a new model of Jamaican export excellence.”
Notably, both entities will remain independently operated, but now with strategic alignment in route-to-market and promotional execution—aiming to unlock deeper efficiencies and expanded reach.
As legacy brands jostle for relevance and market share in a rapidly evolving industry, this collaboration hints at the new frontier: one where heritage meets execution, and growth is orchestrated through collaboration—not competition.
