ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica — A 75‑year‑old farmer from Trinity, Porus, has been accused of repeatedly raping a girl more than four decades ago in Retirement district.

Investigators from the Centre for Investigation of Sexual Offences and Child Abuse (CISOCA) charged Frederick Watson on Monday, 28 April, with three counts of rape stemming from alleged assaults that occurred between 1980 and 1982.

According to police, Watson and the girl lived at the same address during that period. The survivor, now an adult, came forward in January 2025, prompting detectives to open a formal inquiry.

Watson was arrested and taken in for a question‑and‑answer session conducted in the presence of his attorney before the charges were laid.

A date for his first court appearance is still being arranged.
