An already volatile situation in Enfield took a dangerous turn on Wednesday when a man, armed with a firearm, confronted police officers before disappearing into dense bushland.

The chaos began when officers responded to a reported stabbing at a shop in the Juno Pen district. Upon arrival, they were directed to a suspect involved in the incident. As police moved to detain him, the situation escalated when another man emerged from a nearby structure, reportedly pointing a gun at the lawmen.

Acting on instinct, the officers prepared to neutralize the threat, but before they could take action, the armed suspect sprinted into a wooded area, evading capture. A search operation was immediately launched but proved unsuccessful.

Meanwhile, the primary suspect in the stabbing, 29-year-old Dillon Ferguson, was arrested and is now facing charges. Authorities have confirmed that no serious injuries were reported in the initial altercation.

Residents of the area remain on edge as police intensify efforts to track down the armed fugitive. Investigators are urging anyone with information to come forward to aid in the ongoing search.
