A seemingly ordinary drive turned into a violent ordeal on Saturday evening in Riverton Meadows, Kingston 11, leaving a customer service representative injured and without his vehicle.
Police have charged 21-year-old Keifa Lee Gilchrist, a chef from Greenwich Town, Kingston 13, with wounding with intent in relation to the incident.
According to initial reports, Gilchrist requested transportation from the victim to retrieve a personal item. Upon arrival in Riverton Meadows, she reportedly stepped out of the vehicle, asking the driver to follow her. Moments later, a gunman approached and fired at the driver, leaving him wounded.
The injured man was then forced from his vehicle, which Gilchrist and the gunman allegedly commandeered before fleeing the scene.
Detectives from the Hunts Bay Police Station are continuing their investigation to uncover further details about the incident and any connections between the suspects.
