In a heartbreaking incident early Sunday morning, a head-on motorcycle crash on Butt Up main road in Manchester claimed the lives of two individuals.
The victims have been identified as Anthony Cunningham, 31, a local resident of Butt Up district, and Paul Newman, 22, from Greenvale, both of Manchester. According to the latest police report, the accident occurred at approximately 1:38 AM when the two motorcycles were traveling in opposite directions and collided directly.
Emergency responders swiftly transported the injured riders to Mandeville Regional Hospital. Despite immediate medical attention, Cunningham was pronounced dead at 2:40 AM, followed by Newman at 4:55 AM.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances leading up to the collision, urging motorcyclists to exercise caution on the roads to prevent such tragic events in the future.
