Authorities in Manchester have formally accused Toby Clarke, a 32-year-old from Chudleigh in the city’s northeast, of committing four murders linked to two distinct events, including the fatal shootings of his own family members.
Clarke faces dual charges related to a violent incident that occurred on July 13 in the Bigwoods area of Craighead. On that day, he allegedly shot and killed Tanesha Burton, known as ‘Browning’, and Wilford Mallison, referred to as ‘Daddy’, at a local bar. Additionally, a third individual was injured in the attack.
In a separate case, Clarke is also accused of the murders of his aunt, Doreen Hamilton, and her son, Orane Hamilton, which took place on September 5, 2017, in Cedar Grove, Manchester. This second set of charges underscores the severity and breadth of the allegations against him.
Law enforcement officials have indicated that Clarke is being held jointly responsible for both double homicide cases. The legal proceedings will move forward as Clarke is scheduled to appear before the Manchester Parish Court on January 8.
The community remains shaken by these tragic events, and authorities continue to investigate the motives and circumstances surrounding these grievous crimes.
