In a remarkable ascent within the European motorsport arena, Jamaican racing talents Tommi Gore and Senna Summerbell have captured significant attention following their impressive third-place finish in the ADAC GT4 Germany championships. Building on this success, the dynamic duo is currently in high-level discussions with renowned automobile manufacturer Porsche to secure a sponsorship deal for the upcoming 2025 racing season.
Tommi Gore and Senna Summerbell first joined forces earlier this year, establishing themselves as the premier racing team in the Caribbean. Representing Jamaica with pride, they ventured into the competitive European circuits by co-piloting an AUDI R8 under the SAPE Motor Sports banner. Despite facing initial challenges and a rocky start to the 2024 season, their resilience and standout performances earned them a pivotal partnership with W&S Motorsport. This collaboration saw them transition to piloting the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport, significantly enhancing their competitive edge for the remainder of the championship.
Doug Gore, a prominent figure in Jamaican motorsports, expressed his pride in the team’s journey during a sponsor appreciation event held at the S Hotel on December 14, 2024. “Witnessing two young men from Jamaica rise to prominence in such a demanding sport is truly inspiring. Their determination and achievements have set a new standard, and we are excited to support their pursuit of excellence in 2025 with new and continuing sponsorships,” Gore remarked.
A cornerstone of their success has been the unwavering support from key sponsors, notably Sherwin Williams. Kenneth Richardson, District Manager at Sherwin Williams, highlighted the significance of the partnership: “Being part of this historic moment in motorsport is a privilege. Our collaboration with Tommi and Senna exemplifies the strength of Jamaican representation in international racing.”
The sponsorship gala also honored contributions from other esteemed partners, including the S Hotel, Q8 Oils, Sandals Hotel, Jamaica Tourist Board, Barita Investments, MoBay Freight, JSRA, and Bell Safety. Both Gore and Summerbell carry the legacy of their fathers, Jamaican racing legends Doug “Hollywood” Gore and David Summerbell Jr. Their impressive track records include multiple international victories, with Tommi making his Formula 4 Central Europe debut in late 2023 after competing in the Caribbean and UK Radical Cups. Senna, a four-time Jamaican karting champion, has also showcased his skills in Formula Prototype Canada and the Radical Caribbean Cup.
