Telecommunications provider Digicel Jamaica has advanced two long-serving Jamaicans into prominent leadership positions, reinforcing the company’s commitment to cultivating local talent as it moves toward a more unified digital experience for customers.

From Customer Service to Chief Innovator
Bjorn Reynolds, who began his Digicel journey over two decades ago as a customer care representative, has stepped into the role of Chief Technical and Innovation Officer. This appointment places him at the helm of the company’s evolving infrastructure, driving forward its mobile and fiber-optic capabilities and integrating cutting-edge digital solutions.

Reynolds is a graduate of Campion College, and later earned both a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Electronics and a Master of Science in Digital Technology from the University of the West Indies, Mona. His educational background, combined with his extensive tenure at Digicel, positions him well to navigate a telecom landscape increasingly defined by advanced connectivity and next-generation network deployments. He describes the current environment as a watershed moment—one in which the fusion of emerging technologies and Jamaican insight can produce world-class voice, data, and video experiences.

A Holistic Approach to Consumer Services
Kristalle Chin, who recently guided Digicel+—the company’s home internet and television division—through a period of growth and strategic expansion, has assumed an enlarged mandate as General Manager, Consumer – Mobile and Digicel+. In this broadened capacity, Chin will streamline the company’s offerings, ensuring that Jamaican households and mobile customers benefit from a coherent set of digital services that meet their needs wherever they are.

Chin, also an alumna of Campion College, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies and Geography from Macalester College in the United States, as well as an MBA from the Schulich School of Business. She notes that integrating home and mobile solutions offers unique opportunities to enhance customers’ daily lives, delivering a more intuitive and seamless digital ecosystem.

A New Strategic Direction Under Local Leadership
These leadership promotions come as Digicel Jamaica refines its strategic direction under CEO Stephen Murad. By consolidating its consumer-facing solutions and accelerating technical innovation, Digicel aims to align its telecom and entertainment offerings under a single vision. Customers can expect a stronger focus on interconnected services, greater reliability, and a continuous introduction of novel features that keep pace with global telecom standards.

Murad underscores the significance of these internal advancements: “Bjorn and Kristalle bring a depth of expertise shaped by years of local experience. Their leadership will ensure we remain forward-looking and customer-centric, delivering the highest quality of service to Jamaicans.”
