A routine security check at Norman Manley International Airport led to the arrest of a 54-year-old vendor from Rocky Point, Clarendon, on Thursday, November 21. The individual, Conset Maxine, was found to be in possession of illegal ammunition after security personnel discovered a 9mm Glock magazine containing nine live rounds inside her luggage.

Maxine, who was traveling through the airport at the time, was detained by the Elletson Road Police and has since been charged with unauthorized possession of ammunition. The police investigation is continuing, but no court date has been announced yet. The incident highlights the ongoing vigilance of airport security in detecting prohibited items.
