ST ANN, Jamaica — In a heartbreaking incident, a police constable tragically lost his life following a serious motor vehicle accident in Discovery Bay, St Ann.
The deceased, identified as Constable Ramone Sterling, was a member of the Montego Hills Police Station in St James. Details surrounding the accident remain unclear; however, eyewitness accounts suggest that Sterling’s vehicle overturned, leading to the devastating crash. Firefighters quickly arrived on the scene and worked diligently to extricate him from the wreckage.
Constable Sterling was promptly transported to St Ann’s Bay Hospital for emergency treatment but unfortunately succumbed to his injuries while receiving care. The community mourns the loss of a dedicated officer, and an investigation into the circumstances of the crash is currently underway.
