Caribbean Cement Company Limited has announced significant steps to optimize its inventory management and bolster cement deliveries across its network of depots. This initiative aims to resolve the recent supply shortages that have impacted the construction sector.

In a statement released on Wednesday, the company acknowledged the ongoing challenges in meeting local demand but assured stakeholders that improvements in delivery schedules are on the horizon within the next week.

“Carib Cement is currently operating at full production capacity, having effectively navigated recent operational hurdles, including those posed by unpredictable weather patterns,” the company noted. “We are dedicated to enhancing our service offerings and ensuring that our customers receive a consistent and reliable supply of cement products.”

The company expressed gratitude for the understanding and support of its customers during this period, emphasizing its commitment to restoring normalcy in supply.

Earlier in September, Carib Cement had indicated difficulties in fulfilling the rising demand for cement, prompting the implementation of strategies to mitigate the impact on the market. By late September, Industry Minister Aubyn Hill had reassured the public that the cement supply challenges had been addressed, with Carib Cement confirming the availability of sufficient stock for its clientele.

As the construction industry looks forward to resuming full operations, Carib Cement’s proactive measures are expected to play a crucial role in stabilizing the market and ensuring a reliable flow of products.
