ST ANDREW, Jamaica – A tragic incident unfolded early Saturday morning in Cheshire Village, a housing community predominantly designed for individuals with disabilities. The victim, identified as 23-year-old Micheal Sutherland, also known as ‘Dim Dim,’ hails from Bedward Gardens in August Town.
At approximately 7:45 AM, local residents reported hearing multiple gunshots, prompting an immediate call to the police. Upon their arrival, officers discovered Sutherland lying face down in a pool of blood, suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds to the head.
He was dressed in distinctive pink and white shorts, paired with black and red American Eagle underwear, and black, white, and orange Nike sneakers.
The police transported his body to Kingston Public Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Authorities have stated that the motive behind this shocking crime remains unclear as investigations continue. The community is left in mourning as they grapple with the loss of a young life under such violent circumstances.
