MANCHESTER, Jamaica — An 18-year-old male has been arrested and charged following a stabbing incident that took place in Knockpatrick, Manchester, on Friday, June 28. The accused, Sanjay Williams, a labourer from Hillside Close in the parish, is facing charges of wounding with intent.

According to police reports, the altercation occurred around 2:00 am during a party on Green Street. Williams allegedly approached a man and his relative, and after a brief verbal exchange, he used a knife to stab the man in the side before fleeing the scene.

Following the incident, Williams evaded capture for over two months. However, on Tuesday, September 10, he was apprehended during a police operation in Manchester. Two days later, Williams was formally charged after being interviewed in the presence of his attorney.

The victim’s current condition remains unknown, and further updates on the case are expected as it proceeds through the legal system.
